I just relized how great my life is!!! I love my life so much. I dont have to do anything i dont want too. No one tells me what i cant do. I choose to do the things i do becuase i want too, not becuase someone tells me i have too. This is pretty much has kinda explained to me why Jesus died on the cross for us. He was asked to but it was his decision to die for us to not. Honestly if he didnt die on the cross for us we all would be screwed. Im so excited and glad that Jesus decided to put all of us sinners ahead of himself. Just picture doing something little like putting others infront of yourself, and see how much of an impact it makes.Thats what ive decided one of my goals for this week would be. Ive also found out that God meets us at our own personal level. Hosea 1&3 just talks about Hosea marrying pretty much a prostitute. He marrys her and they have 3 kids together. Jezreel his first born son meaning . Lo-Ruhamah his secound child meaning not loved.
Lo-Ammi his third child meaning not my people(a little inside God is pretty pissed off at the Israelites) Anyway Gomer, Hosea's wife ends up going back into her old ways and leaves the family. God Tells Hosea that he needs to go show her love like he showed love on the Isrealites. He ends up paying for her to come back to him. Thats the story it shows no matter how low you think you are in life God wants you and he wants to persue you no matter what. I guess im not really good at explaining what i thought wial reading this so im not gonna explain what i thought. Im just gonna leave you guys with some questions about this story.
Who do you relate with in this story?
Whats the main point?
What does it say about me?
What does it say about God?
Does it remind you of any other story?
How does it feel to be Gomer?
Make sure you guys read this passage...its much easier to answer the questions if you read it.
Nice work. It's awesome to read these Old Testament stories that are really about Jesus. Just like Hosea had to pay for his wife to come back to him, Jesus had to pay a steep price to have us come back to Him.
